Partnering with Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO)
Jesus says, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19).
This is the commission Jesus gave to his disciples, and it is of primary importance to us as Christians. The college campuses in Gainesville present a unique mission field full of possibility for Servants of Christ. People from all over the world have come to our doorstep and we have the privilege and opportunity to share Jesus with them. Our partnership with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) exists to reach this mission field with the good news of Jesus Christ. The CCO is unique among college ministries in that it partners with local congregations to reach campuses which would otherwise not be able to do so effectively on their own. It is a beautiful example of humble collaboration for the sake of the kingdom of God. Learn more about how the partnership works in the FAQs.
Our campus minister, Deacon Megan Trautman, is like a missionary-in-residence, reaching the campus under the oversight of CCO while attending and collaborating with Servants. Deacon Megan has a Masters in Divinity from Trinity Anglican Seminary, four years of campus ministry experience with InterVarsity, and three years of experience leading the Alpha Course targeted towards international students.
