There are accessible parking spaces located near the main entrance, including one marked for vans with ramps. Our narthex and nave (entrance area and main church space) are fully accessible with no stairs. We have one fully accessible restroom which is around the corner from the main church in the East Wing (where the children meet).

 

All baptized Christians are invited to come to the kneeling rail to receive Communion; all are invited to receive a blessing. The easiest place for a person in a wheelchair to receive communion or a blessing is at either end of the kneeling rail. If you need assistance to walk forward, an usher can assist you, or you can bring your cane or walker. Our clergy and chalice bearers are also happy to bring Communion to you at your seat if that is needed. Simply let the usher know when he or she comes by.

 

We have large print Bibles in some pews. The entire service is projected on a screen at the front of the church in large, contrasting font. You can also follow along in our prayer books, service booklets, or on the church app. We do not use any flashing lights.

 

All those who speak during the service use a microphone. Our acoustics cause some areas of the sanctuary to be more muffled, so it may take a few tries to find a spot that is best for you. We welcome noises and movement from neurodiverse children and adults and view them as part of our worship. If the service becomes too much and you or your child needs a break, we have a Family Retreat room at the back of the nave on the right side. It has one way glass so that those inside have a full view of the service but can’t be seen. The service can also be heard clearly there.

 

The Anglican worship liturgy includes movement, especially during the first part of the service. We typically stand to praise God, sit for instruction, and kneel for prayer. These movements are not required by anyone, but everyone is invited to move. If additional movement breaks are needed, there is a water fountain in the narthex/entry and restrooms are near the water fountain. If more continuous movement is needed, we can help you find areas in the back of the church or balcony area for walking or provide a glider. Activity sheets on clipboards are available for coloring or taking notes. 

 

Our worship service is live streamed each week if you initially prefer to join us virtually. We hope you will connect in the chat. As you become familiar with our service online, we hope you will eventually join us in person.
